We rang in the New Year surrounded by family. We spent New Years Eve with my family. It was a fun and rowdy time. The men decided to see who could withstand the hottest hot sauce (Satan's Blood) in the house. Brad tried it and he drank 5 beers in 30 minutes. After midnight Brad played some poker and then we headed home. Got in bed at 4am. Yeah I made it that long!
New Years Day was at the Gorkas'. Linda made a great lunch. We had chops, black eyed peas, cabbage and potato au gratin. Everything was VERY good. We also got to spend time with Brooklyn. Got her all wound up and made it difficult for Erin to get her down for a nap. Mission accomplished.
We headed home and then tackled the Christmas lights. Got the lights put up and relaxed for the rest of the evening.
They say how you ring in the New Year is how you spend it. 2012 we are focusing on our family and creating new traditions with Baby Gorka. Can't wait to me him/her (him according to Brad). It's funny to think that we will have a baby in July. Funny and scary. I mean come on. Who would have thought we would be responsible for another human being? Not us.
PS. This has not been mentioned yet, but according Amy Mabe this is her baby.
